This service enables you to change the appointment of a Knowledge test, a Yard test, a Road test, an Evaluation test, or a Road test after withdrawing or cancelling your driving licence.

Eligibility
The customers that already have a test appointment are eligible to apply for this service.

  1. Valid Emirates ID.
Service fees
  • This service is free if the customer postpones the Road test appointment 24 hours before the initially booked date.
  • 300 AED to reschedule the test date in case the customer wanted to prepone an already booked test.
  • +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

Process

Through Website

  1. The customer logs in to his personal profile on the website using his valid Emirates ID.
  2. The system verifies the customer’s identity by sending an OTP to his registered phone number.
  3. The customer cancels the data of the previously booked test.
  4. The customer books a new appointment.
  5. The customer settles the required fees if the newly booked appointment entails additional fees.
  6. The customer receives an SMS and email with the scheduled appointment date.

Through the Smart Application (Road test)

  1. The customer enters the learning permit application number and the date of birth.
  2. The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments.
  3. The customer settles the fees by credit card.
  4. The customer receives an SMS and email with the scheduled appointment date.

Through the Driving Institutes

  1. The customer submits the learning permit application number.
  2. The customer selects a new appointment from the list of available appointments.
  3. The customer settles the required fees.
  4. An electronic copy of the receipt is sent to the e-mail registered in the system, and an SMS is sent to the registered phone number with a link to download a copy of the transaction receipt.

Through the Smart Screen (Road test only)

  1. The customer enters the Emirates ID number or the learning permit application number.
  2. The customer selects an appointment from the list of available appointments.
  3. The customer settles the required fees.
  4. The customer receives an SMS and email with the scheduled appointment date.

Through Mahboub Chatbot (Road test only)

  1. The customer inquires about the service through a conversation with Mahboub, for example: changing a driving test appointment.
  2. Mahboub displays the requirements for applying to the service and the required fees.
  3. Mahboub checks if the customer wants to complete the process of changing a Road test appointment.
  4. The customer approves and is required to enter the traffic file number and the year of birth in the following format (19xx).
  5. The appointment that was previously booked is displayed to confirm and continue for changing the date of the Road test.
  6. The customer selects the Road test appointment date and time that suit him from the list of available appointments.
  7. The system verifies the identity of the customer by sending an OTP to the mobile number registered in the system.
  8. The customer settles the required fees by credit card.
  9. The customer receives the reference number of the transaction.

Terms and conditions

General rules for all tests

  • The customer must select an appointment from the list of available appointments.
  • The customer can postpone the appointment of the Road test 24 hours prior to the test date. He can prepone it at any time provided that he finds an available appointment and settles the required fees, except for the remote interpretation of the Knowledge test.

Yard test, in addition to the above general rules

  • The customer must finish the Evaluation test of the Driving Institute.

Road test, in addition to the above general rules

  • If the training prerequisites were not completed or the payments not settled, the system reschedules the appointment up to 2 times with no additional charges, 24 hours before the scheduled appointment date.
  • After the third attempt, the appointment is cancelled and the customer has to book a new appointment and settle the required fees and the service fees.
  • The customer can change only the Road test appointment through the Smart App, the Smart Screens, or Mahboub Chatbot. He can change the appointments of all tests through the website and the driving institutes.
