361 Million Riders in the First Half of 2024
RTA announced that the number of users of public
transport and shared mobility means in
Dubai—including Metro, Tram, public buses, marine
transport, Taxis, e-hail vehicles, smart rental
vehicles, and on-demand buses—reached about 361.2
million in the first half of 2024. This represents
a 6% increase compared to around 340.5 million
users in the first half of 2023.

RTA announced that the 30th edition of the
Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World
Congress, which will take place in Dubai from
September 16 to 20, 2024, is anticipated to draw

200 diverse sessions. The ITS World Congress will
explore the latest advancements in smart mobility
and transportation technology.
