Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the ninth edition of the Ajyal Summer Training Programme. The program is set to host 75 universities and 12th-grade levels students from RTA employees’ family members. It includes comprehensive field training across various RTA agencies and sectors, complemented by remote training workshops through global academic platforms designed to enhance students' awareness. The program aligns with RTA's goals and objectives, focusing on leadership in digital transformation, environmental and financial sustainability, asset sustainability, and excellence in artificial intelligence through global academic platforms.

Athari Mohamed, Director of Human Resources and Development, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA, stated: “The Human Resources and Development Department is dedicated to rolling out Ajyal Programme annually and developing a comprehensive plan to achieve the desired outcomes. Our aim is to broaden students’ knowledge and equip them with skills in creative thinking, communication, managing difficulties, and facing challenges.”

"The program includes various beneficial events for participants. This includes enrolling students in various awareness programs conducted either in-person or remotely, as well as field visits to the Rail Depot to provide inductees with insights into train maintenance, operation, control, and monitoring. Additionally, visits include the Smart Number Plates Factory, the world's first to use robots for producing vehicle number plates powered by 4th Industrial Revolution Technologies and AI applications. Students will also tour the RTA Museum, which showcases achievements, past projects, and RTA future plans," she added.

“The training process in Ajyal Programme is well-structured and smooth. It begins with the application for enrolment and verification of enrolment conditions, which include being a UAE citizen, enrolled in Grade 12 or university, and continuing their studies. Following this, applications are classified based on the needs of the organisational units, and trainees are distributed according to their specialisations. Upon completing the program, students are awarded certificates and rewards, recognising those who have excelled," concluded Athari.
