In collaboration with Avaya, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) launched a corporate learning platform powered by artificial intelligence at GITEX 2022. It aims to polish the skills of Call Centre employees. The platform offers advanced learning and training capabilities tailored to the needs of the call centre’s employees. It enables them to support the skill-building process and keep pace with the ever-growing demands of customers.

“RTA is keen to make sustained improvement in all operations to achieve its strategic objectives and enhance its engagement in all projects that can take its business to the next level in smart government business. Cooperating with Avaya enhances our job competencies and supports Emiratisation requirements. It is here where Avaya's corporate AI-based learning platform comes to the fore, as employees will be able to access effective career development paths, thereby enhancing their overall experience,” said Mehailah Al Zahmi, Director of Customers Happiness, Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, RTA.

RTA's launch of this platform reaffirms its commitment to achieving the highest levels of quality in service offerings. It also ensures maintaining the continuous development of all operations to achieve RTA’s vision as 'The world leader in seamless & sustainable mobility',” added Al Zahmi.
Through the platform, employees of RTA's Call Centre will have access to educational tools that enable them to continuously develop their skills in their own time, which enhances job satisfaction and growth. The staff at Customer Happiness Centres can access online or offline training courses, thus eliminating the need to schedule appointments or adapt to training schedules. The platform enables recruits to learn about the core policies and values of RTA in general, and the departments to which they are assigned.

Nidal Abou-Latif, President, Avaya International, said: “We are witnessing a critical development taking place at RTA, as corporate learning platforms are radically changing the 'rules of the game' to the benefit of all employees in corporate training, education, and development. This is because RTA's new learning platform provides trainees with a flexible working environment and allows them to choose the best time and place for training.”

“It also opens quick career development paths, since it includes resources and references to help employees enhance their careers, maximise efficiencies, and refine their skills based on Avaya's technology solutions, particularly those based on artificial intelligence. The goal of all these efforts is the consolidation and support of Dubai's comprehensive digital transformation strategy,” added Abou-Latif.

Among the unique features of the learning platform is that it was created using Avaya solutions that facilitate cooperation between work teams and modern work paths. It is an integrated learning platform that can serve as a virtual classroom for training and assessment. With Avaya technology, the platform combines artificial intelligence and video conferencing tools to help employees customise their learning sessions.
