Winning Silver accolade for Expanding nol Micropayment
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has been named the winner in the Silver category of the prestigious International Business Excellence Awards (IBAX 2023) in the field of Business Change & Transformation for outstanding efforts in Expanding the Use of nol Micropayment. The Automated Fare Collection Systems Department of RTA’s Corporate Technology Support Services Sector has been recognised for its ongoing commitment to improving customers' experiences and expanding the scope of nol card uses in future.
Established in 2015, the International Business Excellence Awards serve as a platform to acknowledge and honour excellent practices in a range of fields, including customer experience as well as sustainable projects and initiatives. The award ceremony was held remotely in the United States of America.
In line with RTA’s goal (Integrated Dubai), nol card has expanded its network to provide services beyond paying transportation fares. Over and above the use of the card in accessing public parks, museums, clubs, and private transportation modes, nol cards may now be used in over 14,000 retail stores across the UAE, including prominent names such as Carrefour, Lulu, and Zoom.
Nol card is available in four types to cater to adults, students, senior citizens, and people of determination, to serve all segments of society. The card enables users to effortlessly pay the fares of RTA’s transit means including the Dubai metro, tram, and buses as well as taxis, marine transportation modes, public parking, tourist attractions, and shops, all with just a tap of a card.
