Transport Using Taxi Vehicles

This service enables you to commute in Dubai using all types of taxi vehicles (regular, family, females, People of Determination, airport, Safe Hands).

Eligibility
All individuals are eligible to benefit from this service.
Required documents
  • This service has no required documents.
Service fees
  • The minimum fare is 12 AED for road pickup and 13 AED for e-hail.
  • Additional fares apply when passing through Salik gates
  • An extra charge of 20 AED applies when passing through Sharjah
  • The waiting fare is 50 fils per minute for all types of vehicles.
  • Taxi fares are subject to change during peak hours, at events locations, and at New Year's Eve events locations.

Process

Through S'hail, Careem - Hala Taxi, Bolt, and Zed Smart Apps

  1. The customer logs in to the app using his username and password.
  2. The customer selects Booking a Taxi Vehicle service.
  3. The customer enters the required details (his current location and the location he wants to reach).
  4. The customer selects the type of vehicle he wants to book.
  5. The taxi heads to the customer’s location.

Through Dubai Taxi Company Call Centre - IVR

  1. The customer contacts the Call Centre on 80088088.
  2. The customer presses 2 to book a People of Determination taxi.
  3. The customer books a taxi vehicle.
  4. The taxi vehicle heads to the customer’s location.

Through the Hotline for People of Determination service

  1. The customer calls on the direct line 042080190.

Through Airport Exits in Dubai

  1. The customer looks for the taxi sign at the exit and heads to the taxi queue in the arrivals area.
  2. The customer takes the taxi.
  3. The customer pays as per the meter.

On the Road

  1. The customer hails a taxi on the street from designated areas and in parking lots.

Terms and conditions
  • The customer is not allowed to eat or drink in the vehicle.
  • The customer is not allowed to smoke in the vehicle.
  • The customer is not allowed to have a pet inside the vehicle.
  • The customer is responsible for his personal belongings. The service provider isn't responsible for their loss or damage.
  • To book an emergency vehicle for People of Determination, the customer can call 042080190, at any time.
  • People of Determination can book a vehicle through the below channels:
    • Bolt app
    • DTC Call Centre on 80088088 (around the clock)
    • Dubai International Airport
    • Port Rashid
    • Roads in Dubai
  • People of Determination must present a Sanad card to obtain a 50% discount (The customer can apply for the Sanad card through the Community Development Authority website. The process takes 2 -3 working days).
  • The customer can book a female taxi vehicle through the below channels:
    • Bolt and S'hail apps
    • Dubai International Airport
  • The customer can book safe hands service through the Dubai Taxi Corporation Call Centre on 80088088.
  • For more info about females and families taxi and safe hands service, the customer can check DTC Taxi website.
  • The customer cannot travel using a Dubai taxi from another emirate to Dubai.
FAQs
  • Question 1: What are the acceptable payment methods for Transport Using Taxi Vehicles service?

Answer 1: The customer can pay in cash, credit cards, nol card, Careem Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Alipay, or QR Code payment.

  • Question 2: Can 2 customers with 2 different drop off destinations or locations share the same taxi?

Answer 2: If the 2 customers are friends or family, they can use the vehicle for more than one location, with one fare.

  • Question 3: Are multiple pickups and drop-offs allowed?

Answer 3: The passenger has the right to take whoever he wants during the trip and from the place he desires, with one fare, and it is prohibited to restart the meter.

  • Question 4: What's the procedure if the customer loses his belongings in the taxi?

Answer 4: The customer must submit a case through the S’Hail app.
