Apply for a Mobility Permit for Over-Weight and Over-Dimension Vehicles

This service enables you to obtain a permit from the Right of Way department for the mobility of over-weight or over-dimension vehicles.

Eligibility
All companies and governmental entities are eligible to apply for this service.
Required documents

For Owned Vehicles

  1. Load pictures
  2. Vehicle registration certificate (for vehicles not registered in Dubai).

For Unowned Vehicles

  1. Load pictures
  2. NOC from the company NOC from the company (in case the customer is applying for vehicles that he doesn’t own)
Service fees
  • 20 AED/vehicle: large-sized loads (width less than 3.5m, height less than 4m)
  • 200 AED/vehicle: special loads (weight more than 60t, width more than 3.5m, height more than 4m, length more than 20m)
  • +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees.

  • Within 3 working days.

Process
  1. The customer logs in using his username and password.
  2. The customer selects New Permits from the left-side menu.
  3. The customer clicks Permit Type then selects the application type as per the required permit and scope of work.
  4. The customer uploads the required documents.
  5. The customer clicks Submit to generate the application number.
  6. The customer receives the approval on the application.
  7. The customer settles the required fees and downloads the permit from the application page.
  8. To renew, the customer clicks Renew in the dashboard then enters the duration and the description of the work and pays the new permit issuance fees.

The validity varies according to the condition and the type of the application.

Terms and conditions
  • The customer can settle the fees online if the amount is 50,000 AED or less. If the amount is more than 50,000 AED, the customer must pay through RTA Customer Happiness Centres by providing the sales order number mentioned in the application.
