Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with the Dubai Centre for People of Determination, Emirates Red Crescent, Thukher Social Club, and the Ministry of Community Development, has organized a series of Eid Al Adha initiatives aimed to bring joy to people of determination, orphans, and senior citizens during this festive season.

Diverse Events

The events included a workshop designed to introduce people of determination to the types of Eid sweets and their preparation process. Emirati chef Abeer Allouz conducted the workshop in cooperation with the Dubai Centre for People of Determination. The event concluded with the distribution of Eidiya (Eid gifts) to participants.

The second event was a trip for orphan children to The Green Planet, Dubai's tropical forest. Organised in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent, this trip explores the world of plants and the distribution of Eidiya to participating children.

The third event is an excursion for senior citizens to Freej Al Murar, one of the popular shopping destinations that replicates the past of the emirate. In collaboration with the Thukher Social Club at the Ministry of Community Development, the RTA deployed public buses to pick up the beneficiaries and offer them gifts.

Rashed Abdulkarim Al Mulla, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at RTA, said, "RTA annually hosts community programmes associated with Eid Al Adha in line with the corporate values outlined in RTA's Strategic Plan 2024-2030. Such values call for enhancing organisational reputation, encouraging teamwork, and stepping up cooperation through interaction with various community groups. RTA launched a series of Eid-related community events thanks to a whole perception of the needs of target groups. These efforts included activating partnership agreements with government and private entities, setting clear objectives, preparing operational and marketing plans, and reviewing the results of community events to make them more innovative.

RTA's Marketing and Corporate Communication Department also continues to enhance community events, making them sustainable and innovative. It also seeks to step up cooperation with various entities that support people of determination, orphans, and senior citizens in driving humanitarian initiatives and making them more sustainable.
