RTA Successfully ‎ concludes its 2nd Security and Safety exhibition, Fostering a Culture of Traffic and Road Safety

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has successfully wrapped up ‎ its second Security and Safety Event 2023, which took place at ‎RTA Head Quarters, on May 9th and 10th 2023.‎ The exhibition‎, which is took place for the second year in a row, attracted participants‎ from both public and private entities,‎ targeting‎ RTA employees and its customers across various social segments. 


The event aimed to promote a culture of traffic and road safety among RTA ‎employees and customers, featuring a variety of educational and awareness-raising activities, alongside numerous promotional offers related to vehicle service or bike rentals at affordable and enticing prices.


It witnessed the participation of four government agencies alongside RTA’s Traffic Department and the Administrative Services Department. Dubai Police delivered lectures and workshops on search and rescue equipment for survivors of accidents and natural disasters. Dubai Civil Defence conducted educational workshops on the correct use of fire extinguishers and fire protection methods. The Red Crescent Authority delivered awareness lectures on First Aid and distributed gifts to participants. The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) gave educative lectures on the environment, sustainability and the efficient use of energy and water resources.


Six private sector entities took part in the event, among them the Emirates Driving Institute, offered participants a practical demonstration of the importance of safety belts during vehicle rollover accidents. Careem and Skurtt also joined by running materials focusing on educating participants on traffic safety requirements when using e-scooters and bikes.


Numerous other participants included Zaher Cars Services Centre, which explained to participants how to check vehicle indicators like oils, tyre condition, and brakes, as well as appropriate responses in sudden or emergencies. Michelin Tyres and Maxi-Cosi (Child Seat Training Company) also provided valuable information on their services and offered symbolic discounts on their respective products.


Other entities sponsored a variety of gifts at the event, such as Almarai Company, Johnson's Baby, and Landmark Group.
