Statement by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer on the announcement of the Customer and Employee Happiness Index
(Al Tayer: We are committed to transforming the workplace and enhancing services to sustain employee and customer happiness)

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) stated that achieving over 90% in the Customer and Employee Happiness Indices for 2024 underscores RTA’s dedication to excellence. “This achievement highlights RTA’s commitment to enhancing the service delivery, exceeding customer expectations, and cultivating a positive, productive work environment that prioritises employee well-being and efficiency,” remarked Al Tayer.
"Guided by the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, RTA had prioritised ensuring the happiness of Dubai’s residents and visitors by offering innovative and smart services that meet their needs and exceed their expectations, he continued.
"RTA has charted out a comprehensive strategy centred on automating services and tasks, expanding digital partnerships, and driving innovation to deliver integrated and proactive digital solutions. These initiatives aimed to boost digital adoption rates, ensuring 24/7 service availability without human intervention, effectively meeting customer needs."
"Human resources are the most valuable asset of the government. Guided by the leadership’s vision to create an ideal work environment and nurture young leaders equipped to shape the future, RTA has prioritised enhancing workplace appeal, retained Emirati talent, and increased productivity, he added.
"In 2024, more than 1,400 employees underwent training at prestigious training centres and universities, with a focus on technology and Fourth Industrial Revolution applications. RTA also launched initiatives to enhance the efficiency and expertise of Emirati talent in specialised and technical roles, alongside implementing employee happiness programmes. These efforts played a key role in RTA achieving over 90% in the Employee Happiness Index."
Al Tayer concluded by reaffirming RTA’s dedication to advancing its strategic goals, implementing transformative changes, and consistently enhancing services to sustain happiness for both employees and customers.
