Through Website

To Transfer an Owned Number

1. The customer logs in using his username and password or through UAE Pass.
2. The customer selects the plate number.
3. The customer selects Transfer Plate Number Ownership from Plates Services.
4. The customer (seller) ID is confirmed through the UAE Pass and the registered phone number.
5. The seller enters the buyer's details, agrees to the terms and conditions and submits the request.
6. The buyer receives an email and an SMS to sign the selling agreement.
7. All parties sign the agreement through the website.
8. The buyer settles the required fees through credit card.
9. The buyer receives the plate number ownership and payment receipt through email and SMS, or he can download them from the website.

To Transfer a Number Reserved for Relatives

1. The customer logs in using his username and password or through UAE Pass.
2. The customer selects Plates from Licensing Services.
3. The customer selects his reserved plate number, enters the recipient's details and submits the request.
4. The customer receives approval through email and SMS within 24 hours.
5. The customer settles the fees and uploads the receipt through the website.
6. The customer receives an SMS and an email confirming that the transaction has been completed.

Through Dubai Drive app (Owned Numbers Only)

1. The customer logs in using his username and password or through UAE Pass.
2. The customer selects Plates.
3. The customer selects Change Plate Number Ownership.
4. The customer enters the required data to transfer the plate number to the desired person.
5. The customer (buyer) ID is confirmed through the UAE Pass and the registered phone number.
6. All parties sign the plate transfer agreement.
7. The customer settles the fees through credit card.
8. The customer receives the plate number ownership through email and SMS.

Through Customer Happiness Centres or Vehicle Registration and Inspection Centres

1. The customer heads to the front desk employee.
2. The employee sends a link to the customer.
3. The customer uploads the required documents through the link.
4. The customer receives the transaction code.
5. The customer submits the transaction code to the front desk employee to complete the service process, check and electronically sign the application.
6. The customer settles the required fees.
7. The customer receives the plate number ownership or reserved number certificate through email and SMS.

• Customer Happiness Centres and Vehicle Registration and Inspection Centres: 10 minutes.

• This service has no validity (for owned numbers).
• 1 year for numbers transferred for relatives.

• Payment receipt.
• Electronic plate number ownership (for owned numbers).
• Receipt of the plate reservation (in case of transferring an unowned number for relatives).
  

• The customer must have a traffic file and the number must be available on it.
• For companies, governmental entities, and diplomatic bodies, the customer or his legal representative must be present in person. For individuals, the buyer and seller must be present in person.
• The customer must have a first-degree kinship to transfer an unowned reserved number for relatives.
• The number is reserved for only 1 year. It can't be reserved again without transferring the ownership.
• The request to transfer a reserved plate number for relatives can only be made once for the reserved number.
• On Sundays, Al Yalayis Vehicle Testing centre only provides inspection services.
