- Question 1: Can the customer cancel the advertisement permit application or the advertisement permit at any time (Under Process - Not Paid - Active)?
Answer 1: Yes, the application or permit can be cancelled at any point as follows:
- To cancel an Under Process advertisement permit application:
- The customer opens the application from the dashboard with any status except "Active", then clicks Cancel.
- The application is marked as cancelled, since the fees haven't been paid.
- To cancel an Active Paid advertisement permit:
- The customer selects Note Type, which specifies the reason for the cancellation request, then clicks Add. Additional notes can be added as needed. Once complete, he clicks Next to proceed to the following step.
- The customer receives the confirmation with the reference number for the cancellation request.
- Once RTA reviews and approves the cancellation request, the customer can check his dashboard and see that the permit has been cancelled.
Note: No cancellation document is generated for the customer.
- Question 2: How can the customer cancel an expired advertisement permit?
Answer 2: The customer can cancel an expired advertisement permit once the cancellation option becomes available, which occurs 90 days after the permit's expiry date.
Note: The 'Cancel' option will not appear if the customer has saved the cancellation application as a draft or has already applied for the permit's cancellation.
- Question 3: What's the process if the customer wants to cancel the permit, but it's an old permit that doesn't show on the new RTA website?
Answer 3: The customer must obtain a CID approval from Dubai Police then visit any service provider branch to remove the sticker from the system, as the customer has no record on RTA website for this vehicle and, therefore, no permit to cancel.
- Question 4: If the company used an advertisement company to apply for an advertisement permit and the company later closed, how can the vehicle owner (original company) cancel the permit?
Answer 4: The company that owns the vehicle must create an account, and will then have access to all the permits it has previously applied for.
- Question 5: If the advertising permit has expired and the customer wants to cancel it after a month or more, what fees will apply upon cancellation?
Answer 5: The system counts 90 days after the expiry date then applies the fees for one year.
- Question 6: What's the procedure if the permit cancellation is approved, but the options for printing or payment are not available? (zero amount)?
Answer 6: There's no cancellation certificate. The customer must obtain the CID approval, print the system screen showing a zero amount, and present it to the inspection centre.
